How to Write a Ten Minute Play was a fun "instructional" guide for the other theatre makers in the Short and Sweet Festival. The "professional guide" tries to give clear instruction on how to and how not to write a short play. Pete Malicki wrote a very funny script which allowed the cast and myself to play with all the conventions of making a short play. As this was an instructional play it allowed us to remove the fourth wall and play with the audience and this interaction started before the play started as the two "actors" warmed up on stage while the audience entered the theatre. This blurred the lines of the play and reality.

Reviews:

"Perhaps the cleverest and slickest script is Pete Maliki's How to Write a 10 Minute Play"

One fateful morning, after working for a little while in production departments on various film and television projects, I decided to go for a run around the local park. It was a good run, I was setting a new personal best time up until I tripped and fell and snapped my arm. While in hospital I decided to leave working in Film and focus entirely creating theatre projects.

I have gone on to direct, produce and Stage Manage different performances across Auckland.

I am always on the look out for my next project.
